SKIN PROTECTED

Aren’t “sun-protection” talks on the earliest days of the hot season the most boring of all? There are indeed, but there are probably no more important ones that those that are boring. I am not a born diehard user of sunscreen but since I have realized the significance of using a sunscreen there is no parting thenceforth. We all enjoy the benefits that the sun can bring; a nice tan of course but also a more positive and happier feeling in our everyday lives – but the harsh reality is that the ultraviolet rays given off by the sun can be extremely harmful to our bodies and can have a pivotal effect in conditions such as premature skin ageing, skin cancers, and eye damage … to avoid all these negative effects and illnesses all the specialist would advise at least a sunscreen protection. Lately I’ve been using two pocket-sized sunscreens – the La Roche-Posay Anthelios blur for the face, and Vichy’s Idéal Soleil 30′ for the rest of the body.

Vichy’s Ideal Soleil

I’ve been using this sunscreen daily for about three weeks, and I’m totally satisfied with it! I have quite dry skin and this sunscreen feels moisturizing without being greasy or oily. It dries in seconds and leaves hardly any white cast. It does have a fragrant smell, which might put some off but as long as it is not on the face I think it’s no big deal. The huge advantage of this new BRONZE version upon the “simple” Idéal Soleil sunscreen is that it optimizes the tan while protecting the skin – yes I know,  I’m also thinking about sending flowers to Vichy’s research team.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Blur

First of all I must say that I’m very difficult to please when it come to sunscreen for face – it’s either to perfumed, either to sticky for me. When I tested La Roche-Posay’s latest product I was rather skeptical as I’ve never tried a sunscreen with blurring properties, actually I don’t know any product like it yet. I’ve been immediately seduced: it is gentle on the skin, eliminates shine without leaving white casts and blur flaws and smooth irregularities.
