DUST IT OFF

V13A1630

My mother is an extraordinary person, you have to know it. Not only because she drinks more coffee than I do and that she taught me to never go out with a shitty (or inexistent) manicure, no my friends, she is extraordinary because of the amount of shoes she buys that seem to all have the same problem: they don’t fit her anymore once she brought them home. And of course she always throws the ticket five minutes after paying.
This is how, after a hearty Sunday meal at my family’s house, I payed a little visit to my mama’s dressing room and, at the top of a big closet I discovered a few unfamiliar dusty boxes – Gucci unfamiliar dusty boxes (this precision might be essential for what follows)(or not, just a way of reminding you how madly I love the brand). Excited as a kid in a candy shop, with dust all over my face (please picture this image of me), I opened the boxes to discover the retro-style booties I would never have worn last year, but thanks to Alessandro Michele (Gucci’s new designer) and it’s visionary way of bringing back the houses’ old classics in a “new vintage” way I was now ready to rock my discoveries in Geneva’s streets.
